Harry Potter Tours in London: Experience the Magic!

For Harry Potter enthusiasts, a trip to London is not just a vacation — it’s a pilgrimage to the entire magical world created by J.K. Rowling. From the Warner Bros Studios to the enchanting filming locations scattered across the city, there are many immersive Harry Potter tours in London to choose from that are just waiting to transport you on a wizarding adventure.

As a London Certified Travel Expert℠ many families come to me asking how they can incorporate Harry Potter into their trip. Over the years, I’ve developed a sixth sense for activities that Potterheads (and their travel companions) love and have incorporated them into their custom travel itineraries (clients choose which locations they want to visit and how independent they’d like to be).

Here’s my curated list of some of the best Harry Potter tours in London — great for fans of all ages!

If you’d love to go behind the scenes, Warner Bros Studios is the place to be. You can go independently (I can help you book all your tickets, of course), or you can join one of several great small-group tours.

Self-Guided Options

These include entry tickets and roundtrip transportation from London.

For a hassle-free journey to the magical realm, you can take a bus to and from Warner Bros Studios. You’ll get a Warner Bros. Studio tour in London and go behind the scenes of some of the most iconic sets from the Harry Potter films. You’ll see the actual props, costumes, and effects from the Harry Potter movie series and even step on board the Hogwarts Express.

Friday Lates: Make your Friday night unforgettable with this After-Hours Tour at Warner Bros Studios, complete with a private Champagne reception in the magical Great Hall!

If you want flexibility in your schedule, choose the train option. With an open train return to London at your leisure, you can explore the studio at your own pace. The train journey itself adds a touch of magic to your adventure.

Small-Group Options

Small-group and private tours are some of the unsung heroes of outstanding travel. They remove so much hassle, and a skilled guide can really bring a place to life.

Small-Group Warner Bros Studio Tour

Limited to a maximum of six people in an executive vehicle, this option includes hotel pick-up, drop-off, and entry tickets for a self-guided exploration of the wizarding wonders.

The University of Oxford served as a filming location for many scenes in the Harry Potter movies (and an inspiration for others). On this fantastic day trip, you’ll embark on a full-day adventure from London via coach, combining a visit to Warner Bros Studios with a guided tour of Oxford, a city steeped in British history and culture and well worth seeing, even if not for the Harry Potter connection.
